Best Electric Bill and Water Bill ever

Here is my electricity numbers...

$166.78 vs $365.55 and an average usage 29.57 KWH vs 50.07 KWH

Here are my water number...

9 CCF for the month (vs 18 CCF last year)

Still loooking for more improvements. The only thing that went in reverse was my natural gas bill.

For my part I am working on improving that as well but, I can not control the weather and by local standards it has been cooler then usual therefore the heat has ran more then last year and we have been cooking at home a lot more which is a good thing and saves more then the bit of natural gas money we save or going out to eat.

Give me some more ideas.

Thanks,

Aaron

The water usage is next...

I started my fixing and or replacing several broken faucets this weekend and have parts for 2 more. I replaced 4 bathroom faucets and have the parts for the remaining two.

I need to get a replacement for the master bathroom tub faucet but, my local home improvement place did not have what I need in stock (still searching).

In short virtually all my faucets were leaking some into the sink a couple where starting to drip on the underside. Luckly I caught it before it became a real issue (I had no mold).

Because of that a the lack of help from Price Pfister I choose to replace everone (never with Price Pfister) since. I am hoping over the next few weeks to have the remaining ones replaced. Ever single faucet that is broken was Price Pfister and I will never buy thier products again and will recommend against them even though they are a locally based company since they refused to give me replacement faucets.

I hope this stop the wasting of water and save money total investment of I am guessing $700. I expect the pay off to be 18 months. But, this was done to pevent damage then as a month by month savings.

The saving keep on rolling...

I manage to have the lowest average daily electric power utilization ever since I move into my home.

31.42 KWH per day in January (40% reduction and $200 saving over last year). Even though the new job keeps me busy I am still continuously makimg minor improvements.
